• Josef Zvěřina and Theology of Agape

  TAPE Academy Press published its first book on June 14, 2024. I believe the joy I get from this book will also be the joy of the readers. I thank all the co-authors for not only contributing their words to the book but for helping to create a truly unique gathering at agape theology, which is, by definition, a living theology, a way of bringing diversity into a mutuality in which elective affinity or kinship by choice (Die Wahlverwandtschaften) is discerned.

• Konference Filosofie a univerzita

  U příležitosti 100. výročí narození Radima Palouše (6. 11. 1924 – 10. 9. 2015) chceme s účastníky konference Filosofie a univerzita otevírat 6. listopadu 2024 témata, která rozvíjel první rektor Univerzity Karlovy po pádu komunistické totality. Jaká motivace byla za jeho myšlenkou zřídit katedry filosofie na všech fakultách Univerzity Karlovy? Proč se tak nestalo? Mají být všichni studující univerzitu uváděni do filosofie? Jak souvisí univerzita a filosofie? Jak se proměnila univerzita za posledních 35 let? Co dobrého a co méně dobrého tyto změny přinesly? Na jaké nejdůležitější výzvy mohou a mají hledat akademici, univerzitní pedagogové a výzkumníci v rámci dnešních univerzit odpovědi? Žijeme ve světověku? Má být dnes čas výchovy?

  Přijďte promýšlet a diskutovat tyto a další otázky v den 100. výročí narození Radima Palouše do pražského Akademického konferenčního centra (Husova 4a, Praha 1).

• Conference Priesthood for the Church to Come

  On December 9, 2023, an international conference on the theme of priesthood for our times will be held in Prague, at Jabok College, Salmovská 8, Prague 2. Registration for the conference without a paper here (deadline: December 4). Conference papers will be published in the conference proceedings or, after successful peer review, in the journal Theology and Philosophy of Education.
